The Renovation - Rebuilding

In order for a new foundation to be built, sometimes the old one has to come apart. That can feel unsettling, and maybe even chaotic, but it doesn't have to be catastrophic.

Over the course of several years, we rebuilt nearly every part of this home. Sometimes the process was thoughtful and orderly. Other times it felt like everything was happening at once, leaving us surrounded by dust, decisions, and unfinished projects.

Upon reflection, I see the same thing was happening within me. As we made this house our own, I was rebuilding my inner foundation—replacing inherited beliefs with chosen ones and beginning to truly integrate everything I had discovered along the way.
